Ambiance

I think that any artists first album is always a classic. One of those that, when you listen to it years later, sounds uncomplicated and technologically not very advanced. But yet, you always think, that was his best work. It was a time when the artist still discovered himself. Everything he wrote is new and fresh. He doesn't need to proof himself or make something better than before. This is my first album I created. I created most of the tracks using only Propellerheads Reason program. I think this will always be my classic. The track, Ambiance, will always be my best song I ever made.

Prologue to Ambiance
I went all the way with ambient pads and drone pads. For albums like this you need a good prologue.

This just came to me. I played with the keys and the tune just stuck. I thought to myself, this is great.

I entered this song into a competition and did fairly well. It landed me a publishing contract.

You need something upbeat on an album like this.

This track was the first one I created using cubase. So I though why not call it Ambiance Cubase, or Ambicube

Voices
I really enjoyed creating this track. I got the voice from a sample cd I bought.

Again, one of those tracks you just mess around with and then you think, this could work.

Phantasy
This tracks name is based on the sample I used for the voice, phantasy.

Sadness
At the time I used lots of sampled acoustic instruments and thought that a songs created using these instruments would sound great.

Tronacle
One of the synths presets was called tronacle so I played a bit with it and voila!!

Augastine
I think I heard something similar long time ago and the tune just stuck. Years later I tried to recreate it.

Epilogue To Ambiance
You will notice that Prologue To Ambiance, Ambiance and Epilogue are actually very similar. I used the same melody for all of them to complete the theme, Ambiance. Enjoy.
